The Villagers have drawn away to AFC Darwen in this year’s extra preliminary round draw of the Emirates FA Cup.
The draw for the opening two rounds of the competition took place on Friday and the reward for victors will be a home tie against Trafford.
Last season both ourselves and AFC Darwen were both relegated from the Premier Division after tough seasons, but the Villagers can draw confidence from having beaten AFC Darwen home and away in the final few weeks of the season.
Under the management of James McShane, the Villagers will be looking to create a bit of history and win their first FA Cup tie since 1948.
The FA Cup tie will take place on the second weekend of the season with a 3pm kick off on Saturday the 11th of August.
The Buildbase FA Vase draw also took place on Friday and we were given a bye in the first qualifying round and will be on the road once again travelling to Avro in the 2nd Qualifying round.
The Vase tie will take place on Saturday the 15th of September and of course we will keep you updated on all the news and build up to both cup ties across our social media platforms.
